Join Monika of Salt & Paper for an engaging and creative rubber stamp carving class! In this 2-hour workshop, participants will delve into the art of carving rubber stamps while enjoying a relaxed and supportive atmosphere. All materials will be provided, making it easy for attendees to dive right into the fun. Whether you're a seasoned artist or just starting out, this class welcomes all skill levels. Feel free to bring your own design ideas or choose from a variety of templates available. With Mother's Day around the corner, it's the perfect opportunity to create a personalized card or gift for mom. Each participant will also receive a Rubber Stamp Carving Kit to take home and continue the fun. The kit includes:

- One carving handle
- 3x interchangeable carving tools (stored inside the handle)
- A hand-drawn instruction manual zine 
- One notebook to test your prints
- 4x6" sheet of rubber
- 1" ink pad (black)
- Storage box

 

About Monika Giacca

Monika is a Toronto-based illustrator, and the owner of the stationery and gift company Salt & Paper. Originally an International Travel Agent in the corporate travel world, she started her business as a side hustle to fund her adventures. Since then, she has illustrated for clients both large and small, including the BBC and CityLine.

In addition to creating custom illustrations (which are often also hand carved into rubber stamps), she creates witty and colourful goods like greeting cards, stickers, notepads and more. Salt & Paper's products are inspired by the city, pop culture, and food. You can see more of her work on the Salt & Paper website.

We can accommodate 10 participants for this workshop. If fewer than 6 participants register, we will cancel the workshop and offer a refund of the full ticket price. In all other instances, workshops are non-refundable. If you cancel with a minimum of one week's notice, we will provide a store credit for the amount of the ticket. If you find that you can’t make it with less than one week’s notice, please feel free to send someone in your place.
